Round 5:Signup Delayed

Signup delayed from Friday to Monday, and a little info.... - spinner (Sunday, September 16, 2001)

Ladies and gentlemen.

We have decided to postpone the signup from Friday to Monday. This means, our new target is Monday 17th of September for signup of round 5. Partly due to some payment solutions, but also due to requests form players that we let this strange week go by, with all its terrors and nightmares, without opening up a new round of a wargame. Mondays are at least filled with a scent of a fresh start, new possibilities, and with a large number of players asking us to wait, we wait. The time is also much needed, and hopefully it will allow the creaotrs a little sleep during the weekend.

Things have definately fallen into place, payment pages are coming up on the portal, with full descriptions on all methods of payment and how the sign up works. My last post about signups had some annoying problems, and we have found a way to improve them, which should be public tomrrow. The new round simply rocks, with its delicate ship balance, intresting tactics, and the brand new galactic jumpgate, controllable by the MoW, built by the MoC. When the manual is out, make sure you check out the description of it, and how it works, and how it will make attacking a bit more fun (-:

This weekend, we are also upping the security levels a few notches on all the machines, and implementing a few special security features to reduce the risk of attacks on the servers.

Also, I hope to release the full new manual tomrrow, or Saturday at the latest. Was a bit harder to convert into the new design than we first thought, but we want to do it right this time, and not half-finished.

We hope we will have time enough to modify the looks of the boards in time as well, to suit the new design, but we will not prioritise it, as it can always be done at a later stage.
