NickServ is a services bot. It deals with protecting registered nicks.

To tell NickServ to protect your nick use: 

/msg p set autokill on

To disable it use: 

/msg p set autokill off

When nickserv is on any client using your nick has two minutes to log in to P. If they do not they will be killed from the network.
