Astropods

Astropods, or Astro Pods, or just Pods, are ships which target and capture Asteroids in combat. In Round 13 there are 8 types of pod, or two for each Race.

In the current stats, the smaller pods can capture fewer amounts of roids. Pods have a damage rating which is measured against the roid's 'armour' rating of 50. The weakest pod, the Dagger, has a damage rating of 11, so 5 of these are needed to capture one roid. The strongest pod, the Leviathan, has a damage rating of 450, and so EACH SINGLE Leviathan can capture up to 9 roids at a time.

NOTE: In previous rounds, there have been different numbers of pod types. For example, the earliest rounds of Planetarion had just one type: the 'astropod' itself.
