The Roid Cap Formula refers to the equation that governs how many Asteroids an attacker will capture in the course of Combat. The Roid Cap Formula has changed a few times over the round, in response to various changes in the playing environment and so on. In the Good old days, the Roid Cap Formula took into account that there were three Combat ticks, and so the Maximum Cap for each tick was 15% (for a total of ~38% over the course of three ticks), however this was also at some stages 10% and 20% per tick. More recently Combat has only been for one tick, with a maximum capture of 25%.
- Current/Recent Roid Cap Formula (From R11 to R15+)
INTEGER((Sum_Surviving_Unstunned_Pods * Power)/50 = Total_Roids_Capped); MAX(Total_Roids*0.25)
ie, the number of roids captured is whatever you can take, or 25% of the total - whichever is the smaller.
