A planet can be closed by a member of the multihunter team when it has been found to be cheating. While it is closed it continues to gain resources in case the planet appeals the decision successfully. During the period it is closed the account owner has no access to the planet and no fleets can be launched towards it. Upon closing all fleets heading from the planet are automatically returned to their base.

Planet closures have caused controversy when a high profile planet is caught cheating or when the timing of a closure is percieved to have damaged or benefitted one of the sides in a war due to fleets being recalled possibly into the midst of a battle which the planet owner thought they had saved their ships from.

10 days after a planet is closed it is automatically deleted.
