I can only apologise personally to those I know in FAnG, but such are the way of things. I've been watching this night unfold (to my distaste, as I have to wake up in 4 hours now fs :/) with interest, as have my alliance command staff. This has merely become the extension of a decision we made during the night of the 'The Consortium' affair, pertaining to one of our allies.
