== The Start ==

It all started in june 2001. Due to the disloyalty and respectlessness of some OT members I was forced to turn my back on OT. Actually I was close to joining some other alliance, when I was amased at howmuch help I got from some active OT users , begging me to make an own alliance.

That night the first rough concept was ready, which was nothing like the fun alliance OT's concept.
The new goal was to be a strong , active but still fun, while if needed ready to jump and help the alliance in an instant.
Quickly trustworthy members were recruited, who still today are ToT with all their heart.
Round 4 was , even if only very short for ToT, a super success. Strong allies were found quickly, and a few ToT galaxies managed to place themselves right in the top 100.

In a last desperate act a few OT members tried to destroy the ToT leader, but so badly failed that the leftover fleets returned home demoralised to their home planets only after loosing 600mio score in the attack, while the ToT leader lost only 2mio score.
Now that we can almost reach out at the start of the new round , we await Round 5 eagerly.

== The End ==

Planetarion went new ways. The gamestyle and combat system was changed very much compared to all other rounds before. Like Round8 it was a complete random universe. No privat gals.
Summary of the political siuation - blocks:

[[FAnG]]/[[Dragons]]/[[WP]]/[[Vision]]/[[NewDawn]]

[[Eclipse]]/[[Elysium]]/[[ToT]]/[[NoS]]/[[hirr]]/[[HR]]

Both blocks were formed before roundstart and whole political situation was stabil during the whole round.
Only [[ViruS]] and [[Templar]] disbanded during the round, but both werent really important regarding their power. But sad to see 2 more old Planetarion allys disbanding.

Both blocks fighted from roundstart on and there was no stagnation during the whole round. At the beginning it looked like a FAnG comeback-round and onliest alliance that was able to compare with them was ToT. During first 700ticks FAnG and ToT switched often between rank1 and rank2.

But sadly our [[ToT]] members didnt like the PAX style and a lot of them quitted or went inactiv in the middle of R10.
So we werent able to fight them anymore. Only a core of 40-50 members stayed activ and fighted with ToT till round ended.
But also [[FAnG]] got a lot of intern problems and after some strange happenings, even FAnG fall down. The FAnG core left the alliance and joined the ToT allied Elysium. With this mass recruiting of 40 FAnG members, Elysium went to the top in planet and alliance ranking and finally won the round.

Our old allys from [[Eclipse]] made rank2 in allianceranking. ToT finished the round on rank6. But our core was still quiet successfull even when 60% of our members quitted or went inactiv. The rank1 gals was a ToT/Elysium gal and we had still 1 top10 planet and around 10 top100 planets. So even this round wasnt that bad, we had still a lot good rankings, still a lot good players, but seen for the whole alliance also a lot of problems.

== The Start ==

It all started in june 2001. Due to the disloyalty and respectlessness of some OT members I was forced to turn my back on OT. Actually I was close to joining some other alliance, when I was amased at howmuch help I got from some active OT users , begging me to make an own alliance.

'''ViruS''' was an alliance from [[Round 3]] to [[Round 10]], led at its beginning (mostly) by [[Irvine]]. ViruS had its origins in [[XFA]] in [[Round 1]] and [[Round 2]] when a bunch of smaller alliances such as [[DPA]] merged with [[XFA]] to create the [[UXF]]. [[UXF]] was bloated in numbers and its founders decided to cutback and make a smaller more elite alliance. A filtering process was done and the new revamped [[UXF]] was renamed to ViruS. Soon after though, the leaders of ViruS didn't like what they had created and, leaving [[Irvine]] in charge, they split off to make the legendary [[Xanadu]]. Under its various leaders, ViruS grew into an alliance to be reckoned with.

ViruS's prime was arguably in [[Round 7]] or [[Round 8]]. In [[Round 7]] ViruS was part of the powerful [[FLTV]] block. Throughout a round of ramblings and backstabbings within that block, ViruS still emerged as one of the top at the end of the round. [[Round 7]] also marked the round ViruS split with her long time ally [[Fury]] in a bitter fued regarding the workings and backside dealings within FLTV and set up for a [[Round 8]] war. In [[Round 8]] ViruS alligned herself with [[Titans]] and [[LDK]] in an effort to make sure that [[Fury]], [[RaH]], or [[FAnG]] did not win. ViruS and her allies succeeded, with the three of them dominating the top100.

After those two successful rounds, a massive blockwar was setup for [[Round 9]] with ViruS in [[VVOMM]] vs [[NAR]][[WEET]].

Between the end of [[Round 6]] and [[Round 8]] ViruS had a recruitment alliance named [[Infection]].

ViruS' HC over the rounds

[[Round 3]] - Grim, Zip, Sastul, Punisher created and ran Virus through round 3. At the end of this round the leaders of Virus went back to their roots and re-created Xanadu. The remaining members of Virus wanted to continue Virus as a sister alliance.

[[Round 4]] - At the beginning of round 4 the former leaders Virus and current leaders of Xanadu appointed [[Irvine]] as UL who was supported by [[Zuper]], [[Ghost]], [[Rabbagast]] who was appointed when [[The Empire]] merged with ViruS and [[Ivan]] who was recruited from [[TFD]]. [[Pin]] was promoted to HC at the end of the round. ViruS started round 4 with [[Irvine]] as CE and [[Zuper]], [[Rabbagast]], [[Pin]] and [[Ivan]] as the other HC. [[TheRand]] was appointed HC shortly into the round but left not too long after. During the round Irvine quit PA and was replaced by [[Biggie]] as CE who then promoted [[Privateer]]. Shortly after this [[Zuper]] also quit in support of Irvine and was replaced by [[Viper]]. [[Pin]] stepped down at the end of the round.

[[Round 5]] - [[Biggie]] was CE with [[Viper]], [[Privateer]], [[Rabbagast]] and [[Ivan]] as HC. During the round [[Biggie]] stepped down as CE and [[Irvine]] returned. After an argument then later in the round Irvine kicked Rabbagast and Ivan. At the end of the round Privateer quit pa and was replaced by [[Adam]].

[[Round 6]] - [[Irvine]] was CE and supported by [[Biggie]], [[Adam]] and [[Viper]] and then [[Zuper]] returned mid round.

[[Round 7]] - They started the round with [[Irvine]], [[Biggie]], [[Adam]] and [[Viper]] as HC. During the round [[Biggie]] quit after an argument with [[Irvine]] and the next day Viper was kicked from the alliance for being abusive to, and slagging off Irvine on the planetarion forums.They were replaced by [[Aaranaf]] and [[Ladybug]]. A few days later Biggie and Viper were invited to return by the other HC after lengthy negotiations and due to popular request amongst members but during the meeting to announce this Irvine announced his resignation from ViruS.

[[Round 8]] - The HC during this round was [[Adam]], [[Aaranaf]], [[Ladybug]] and [[Viper]]. Adam stepped down at the end of the round and was replaced by [[Sir_Kon]] and [[Itsy]].

[[Round 9]] - [[Aaranaf]], [[Ladybug]], [[Sir_Kon]], [[Itsy]] and [[Viper]] were the HC during this round. During the round Itsy stepped down and was replaced by [[Fletcher]].

[[Round 9.5]] - The round started with [[Ladybug]], [[Aaranaf]], [[Fletcher]], [[Viper]] and [[Sir_Kon]] as HC. Sir_Kon left mid-round but then returned a few weeks later when Ladybug and Viper were kicked who then went on to create [[Seraphim]]. At the same time [[Adam]] was again promoted to HC. Sir_Kon stepped down at the end of the round and was replaced by [[Turtle]].

[[Round 10]] - The HC to disband ViruS were [[Aaranaf]], [[Adam]] and [[Turtle]] who made it offically by posting a final [[Virus Announcement]].

ViruS' alliances and naps

[[Round 3]] - [[The Galactic Vikings]] which ended near the end of the round. There were also alliances with [[TFD]] and [[Aim]] formed mid round.

[[Round 4]] - Allied with [[Fury]] which caused [[TFD]] and [[Aim]] to break off the alliance. There was also a nap with [[BlueTuba]] and for parts of the round [[Wolfpack]].

[[Round 5]] - ViruS were allied with [[Fury]] and then napped with [[BlueTuba]], [[ToT]] and [[WPO]]. Later on in the round they to also work with [[Xanadu]] and [[Ni!]] against [[Legion]] and [[Elysium]]. There was also agreements with [[G-II]] and [[MI]].

[[Round 6]] - ViruS were allied with [[Fury]] and [[ToT]] and had naps with [[Legion]], [[Titans]] and [[Instinct]].

[[Round 7]] - ViruS were allied with [[Fury]], [[Legion]] and [[ToT]]. There was also naps with [[FAnG]] and [[Titans]]. Near the end of the round the nap with [[FAnG]] and the alliance with [[ToT]] were broken.

[[Round 8]] - ViruS were allied with [[Titans]] and [[LDK]].

[[Round 9]] - ViruS were allied with [[Olympians]] and [[Madcows]] at the start of the round. This was later extended to [[Vision]] and [[Ministry]] to create [[VVOMM]]

[[Round 9.5]] - ViruS had no naps or alliances.

[[Round 10]] - ViruS had no naps or alliances.

After the various political refactorings in [[round 6]], [[Xanadu]] quickly set about organizing a renewed resistence block to counter the [[FLTTV]] axis. Unfortunately many [[FoS]] and [[Xeta]] members were dissillusioned with eachother, leading to a fairly weak early block [[Newx]], that was countered by a generally (but not unanimously) underrated FLTTV with reinforcements from [[FAnG]] and [[RaH]].

ToT itsself was still a very small ally, but altogehter we had 60 activ and combative members. We restructured our attacksystem and were able to involve a lot of FLTTV gals in our attacks so that also ToT was able to join the war of the topalliances.
After 5 weeks of war, FLTTV had killed nearly all top - NEWX gals and planets. A 3 week take out of NEWX followed and all were arguing about the stagnation in the universe.

So it happend what every time happens in such situations, the winner block splitts. Fury declared war on Titans and FAnG whom [[ViruS]] also declared war on.. Legion declared war to [[RaH]] and FAnG. Through the good relation between ToT and FAnG command, we decided to help FAnG as much as possible without declaring war to [[ViruS]], [[Legion]] and [[Fury]] because with our low membercount we werent really able to join the war of the topalliances which had 3-4times of our membercount.

So the splitt of the block was big problem for ToT through loosing controll over a lot FLTTV gals. Anyway we tried to stay neutral but after a lot retal actions we decided to retal our old allies ViruS and helped FAnG in the attacks on [[ViruS]]' top galaxy 7:13. We fought them till the end of the round and it ended in a tie. Except one galaxy our enemys werent really able to hit us. Good working defence and a lot good battles made the round to a big success for ToT.

Nearly all our gals ended in top100 and nearly all members in top1000 planetranking.
With the end of R7 also a lot of old alliances left the game. [[Xanadu]] and [[Legion]] were surely the most important of them.
So political situation for R8 was quiet interesting.

Mordred started playing PA in the middle of [[Round 2]]. As he joined PA along with a good bunch of other newbies, Mordred and some of the other n00bs found themselves in a universe dominated by overwhelming strange forces, and started setting up a alliance called 'StarAlliance', aka =SA=. Although =SA= did a pretty good job fighting other alliances at their level, they never played an important role, but were good enough to get to know more people and to serve as a stepping stone into more decent alliances, which finally led Mordred to his second alliance at the start of [[Round 3]]: Yi-He Quan, aka [[YHQ]]. 
YHQ was more a nice bunch of people than an conventional alliance and had a very relaxed policy: it was a mixture of members from several other alliances, among them members of the [[Legion]] and
[[ViruS]] as well as [[YHQ]]-only members. At the end of the round Mordred joined [[ViruS]] with [[Rabbagast]]'s vouch and quickly developed good ties with the current HC and techie ([[Ghost]]). At the end of [[Round 3]], Mordred ran [[ViruS]]' secondary IRC server, and was promoted to 'Technical Officer', and was again promoted to 'Senior Technical Officer' after [[Ghost]] left [[ViruS]]. Mordred kept this rank until his real life changed dramatically during [[Round 10]] (PAX), when he was forced to leave [[ViruS]]. 
As after his return to PA in [[Round 15]], he found a universe where [[ViruS]] did not exist anymore, and he joined [[LCH]] thanks to the support by his old mates from the [[LCH]]-precursor, the good old ('ficköööön') [[Tourists of Terror]]: [[Exor]], [[dope]] and [[Wakko]].

Some of the ships are capable of stealing ships during a battle instead of destroying them. These ships do not return to their owners after combat and are instead added to the stealer's fleet.

Yi He Quan (or YHQ) was an alliance founded towards the end of round 2 by LaQ and Aesop. 
It reached its height at the end of round 3 up to mid-round 4 at around 30 constantly active and dedicated members, befriending NewDawn during those rounds. Towards the end of round 5, YHQ High Command decided to merge the remainders of the alliance into ND, with all members being offered a spot there.

Today, a few old 'boxers' (as YHQ members were called internally due to the alliances' name's origin in the Chinese Boxer Revolution of 1900) remain among the player base, namely Vader, besteman, Dune (all ND nowadays) and Hook (now in hirr).

Mordred started playing PA in the middle of [[Round 2]]. As he joined PA along with a good bunch of other newbies, Mordred and some of the other n00bs started setting up a alliance called 'StarAlliance', aka =SA=. Although =SA= did a pretty good job fighting other alliances at their level, they never played an important role, but were good enough to get to know more people and to serve as a stepping stone into more decent alliances, which finally led Mordred to his second alliance at the start of [[Round 3]]: Yi-He Quan, aka [[YHQ]]. 
YHQ was more a nice bunch of people than an conventional alliance and had a very relaxed policy: it was a mixture of members from several other alliances, among them members of the [[Legion]] and
[[ViruS]] as well as [[YHQ]]-only members. At the end of the round Mordred joined [[ViruS]] and quickly developed good ties with the current HC and techie ([[Ghost]]). At the end of [[Round 3]], Mordred ran [[ViruS]]' secondary IRC server, and was promoted to 'Technical Officer', and was again promoted to 'Senior Technical Officer' after [[Ghost]] left [[ViruS]]. Mordred kept this rank until his real life changed dramatically during [[Round 10]] (PAX), when he was forced to leave [[ViruS]]. 
As after his return to PA in [[Round 15]], [[ViruS]] did not exist anymore, he joined [[LCH]] thanks to the support by his old mates from the [[[LCH]]-precursor, the good old ('ficköööön') [[Tourists of Terror]]: [[Exor]], [[dope]] and [[Wakko]].
