Continued to play after skipping the half round in-between the next two rounds and [[round 13]] under [[HR|Howling Rain's]] protection as a wing. In [[round 14]] Insomnia became an independent alliance once again. In [[round 15]] Insomnia had a comeback and started very well - could climb up the ranks up to 5th as the war with LCH broke out. As Bee had to quit PA because of RL Issues (GF pregnant) and the other HC were busy with Exams Insomnia had to disband in the End of r15 with ca. 70% of the Memberbase left. In [[round 17]] Insomnia once again returned to the Battlefield and fought hard against Omen who were clearly dominating until 1up tagged up at midround. Insomnia finished solid 3rd in the end. In [[round 31]] Insomnia briefly returned as a small battlegroup playing in their own tag.

Following on from a less than impressive [[round 14]] and [[round 15]] Antigone and Mek made a decision 5 weeks before the start of round 17 that they would reform Insomnia and this time, having become a bit of a joke on the forums, would play the round in full and justify the Insomnia name. They set about bringing in some of the older players to the game and recruiting new ones. Notable new recruits being VdM, pathogen, Mystic (thanks ToF :P).

The round started strongly for InSomnia, rebuking many of the critics of the chances of InSomnia finishing out the round and quickly it became apparent that in the apparent absence of 1up, Omen would be the main alliance competing for the round win. Due to a preround agreement with Angels, the battle lines were initially drawn with it being Angels & Omen versus InSomnia & ND. The initial war was sporadic battles between both sides with ND and InSomnia choosing to focus their attention on the bigger brother in the opposing block (Omen). Soon it appeared evident to both sides that 1up were hiding players out of tag, and this meant that nobody was fully aware of the actual strength of the opposition that 1up was.

By the time that it came to a general consensus between the 4 alliances to hit 1up, there was a significant amount of bad blood stirred up on both sides. Neither side was willing to be the first to launch on 1up, and despite Omen being the number one alliance at the time, they refused citing that they could not trust InSomnia and ND not to stab them in the back if they did. After 2 days of negotiations, the situation deteriorated and 1up eventually tagged up and to the amazement were significantly stronger than had been expected. Due to frustrations with how the Omen HC were not willing to war 1up, InSomnia decided to side with 1up and hit Omen for the remainder of the round. InSomnia kept it gentlemanly and avoided hitting ND and roid raced them to the finish. InSomnia finished an impressive 3rd showing that if we can actually be arsed and put our minds to it, we have the potential to be a serious alliance :P

Currently, as of round 34, Mek resides in DLR as a player and helping out where possible. He is also a member of the OuZo BG after being invited in round 31 by [[Nacho]].

== Description ==

Mek originally signed up to planetarion 2 weeks prior to the end of round 1. He has served in many alliances over the 30 rounds of planetarion he has played, most noteable as a promenent figure in the high command of [[insomnia]] where he has served over the space of rounds 14, 15 and 17 and a futher 2 rounds in the official insomnia revival (without Jonas) rounds 23 and 25. Mek has been a DC for many alliances over the years including 2 rounds with [[Elysium]] 3 rounds with [[insomnia]] and latest being with [[eXilition]] with various alliances in between.
