Insurrection

Insurrection was created in round 17 by Ptraci and Exothermic who wanted to help new players get the hang of the game. After a slow start, Insurrection gathered a few active players who worked together and allowed the alliance to finish 30th.

Special thanks go to those round 17 players - Laneghen, Kibbutznik, ToshN, Hoth, Ashes, Awie, you guys played a crucial part in getting Insurrection off the ground, and also, thanks to Jeffers, the Orbit BC who helped train the above members and generally lent a hand.

Insurrection is back for round 18, we take any players of any ability who want to learn how to play the game better or who want to help train newer PA players. If you're interested join #Insurrection on IRC and talk to Ptraci or Exothermic.

Ptraci's first memorable moment was back in Round 14, the days of the Orbit Lightsabre Wars, when she became a cheerleader for one of the teams, leading onto more controversial activities such as "PoledancingPtraci" (PP for short). However, as the Lightsabre Wars became more organised (a referee was finally introduced into the proceedings towards the end of R14), Ptraci's illicit activites became rarer with every passing day.

As time passed, she moved up the promotional ladder in Orbit, finally, to the horror of many who had observed her in a drunken state, becoming an HC.

Midway through round 17, I decided to leave Orbit and start my own alliance, Insurrection, with the help of Exothermic. Insurrection is aimed at new PA players who need a bit of help with the game. I'm pleased to say that although mid-round isn't the best time to start an alliance for new players, we got a fair amount of interest and finished 30th. Insurrection is back for round 18 and will hopefully continue to grow.
